On September 30, Rev. Wambua was invited to preach at Long Branch by Rev. Oliver and First Lady Poinsetta. They met Rev. Wambua while visiting Kenya on one of several mission trips.
Rev. Wambua operates a Youth Centre in the Korogocho Slum on the outskirts of Nairobi. Their mission is to equip and empower children and young people for brighter futures through the provisions of formal education and vocational skills.

On December 27, all LBBC members are asked to approve the 2021 Church Budget and Officers. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, this year there are 2 methods of voting.
One method allows you to vote in person should you be in attendance for Sunday service. The other method will be Drive Up. The hours will be between 12-1pm. An attendant will be available outside with copies of the ballot form for you to use for voting. After making your selection, please fold and return your ballot to the attendant. Thank You.

DownloadRev. Dr. Morris Oliver retired from the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, DC after almost 22 years. Rev. Oliver has a passion for ministering to lost souls, for empowering people in their spiritual gifts and for ministering to pastors. Rev. Oliver is a Certified Intentional Interim Pastor through the Center for Congregational Health and an instructor at Arm of the Lord Bible College in Fredericksburg, VA. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and his Doctorate of Religious Education from the Andersonville Theological Seminary. He was ordained in October 1995 at the now Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church of Alexandria, VA. Rev. Oliver and his wife of 26 years, Mrs. Poinsetta Cowles-Oliver, reside in Fredericksburg, VA. He and his wife founded Power Full Impact Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) ministry which serves the underserved in 3 areas: (1) Interim Pastorates/International Missions, (2) American Sign Language interpreting for religious services and (3) Refugee housing. Rev. Oliver has served as Interim Pastor at Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Piney Branch Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, Shiloh Baptist (Old Site) in Fredericksburg and is currently serving as Interim Pastor here at Long Branch in Woodford, VA since November of 2016.
